What a great article! When I travel outside the states I always have currency. Going to shops, street markets, or to give tips I prefer cash. Most vendors I encounter especially when I am in Europe or when I was in China cash is widely accepted and encourage or required. For me, also, whipping out a card or paying with the cash app makes me spend more money.
