Sometimes resilience doesn’t look like motivational quotes or grand speeches. Sometimes it looks like an old man quietly carrying 25 kilos on his back under the scorching sun, simply because life gives him no option to stop. This piece beautifully reminds us that strength often exists in the most unnoticed people around us.
I've worked jobs like this my whole life: high-stress, backbreaking work for low wages. Construction, unloading trucks, managing a warehouse. Thank you for focusing on it, V S
Thank you for sharing this story. It does give a different meaning to the resilience. It’s the type of circumstances so many people find themselves in, in the world. And they generally don’t complain about their, it’s just part of life.
Not sure what keeps the man from the story go on but for me Resilience means even when the things appear down, look at the big picture. Don't think about anything else and work harder.... Your was a nice read... Thank you for sharing
Your post on resilience was truly powerful and deeply thought-provoking. I really liked how you moved beyond the usual motivational meaning of the word and showed its real essence through everyday life. The story of the old man carrying those heavy sacks in such harsh weather was incredibly moving—not because of dramatic words, but because it reflected silent strength, dignity, and perseverance that many people carry within them every single day.
What stood out the most was your observation that resilience is very different for people who lack comfort, stability, and emotional support. The way you connected human struggle with simple real-life moments made the message feel genuine and relatable. Sometimes the strongest people are the ones no one notices.
Noticing such things and writing it in a good way is an act of humanity. It shows that you care about poor people and try to analyse their difficulty from their perspective.
I recognize resilience in others. I see it most closely with people in myself. My best friend is a strong example of this to me. She honestly, has medical challenges but the way she faces each day and works rg hard while trying to sustain her health I have admired that in her. With all I have experienced I like to think I am resilient as well because with all y struggle I do keep going. Thank for this I like how you recognized the resilience from a complete stranger.
Hardly a few people truly observe these moments in everyday life the way writers and thoughtful people do. Our lifestyles can sometimes feel completely different from the realities faced by many people struggling daily, yet there is so much we can learn from them.
Their discipline, patience, hard work, resilience, and even their kindness despite hardship carry powerful lessons for all of us. Most people pass by such visuals every day without noticing them deeply, but when someone pauses to observe and reflect on them, it becomes something meaningful.
Thank you for sharing and bringing attention to these quiet realities of everyday life. Articles like this remind us to observe humanity more carefully and value the strength hidden inside ordinary people.
Yes I do come across people in daily life and I think we all do. It's just how you choose to see it. Love your perspective... And honestly, It is indeed the mental strength and will power that helped him carry on with life despite all hardships.
They always carry with them blessings from the Almighty! Nothing happens to them even with the worst weather condition, be it high temperature, winter cold, or excessive rains. Even children as little as 2-5 years old, they enjoy on roads!
Yes, dear, we see them daily: the rickshaw pullers, the drain cleaners, the roadside vendors...sweating out in the sweltering heat with no proper wages as well....
Alas, we have become too accustomed to our comforts!

Beautifully written and very meaningful as usual.
Hey Safia
No problem yaar. 💜
I can understand .🩷
For resilience Beas a powerful word which meant strength.
But the perspective changes once I started observing people belonging to all categories around me.
Then when o had a different view about this word resilience.
The meaning is about being strong
One with support system
The other devoid of it
Thanks yaar for such a lovely reply 🙏🏿
