“ International Women's Day” A small write-up about women on this special day for women.

Disclaimer- This article is not written with the intention of placing women on a higher pedestal. In a time when equality between men and women is widely discussed and valued, it is important not to misrepresent that balance. The purpose of this article is simply to acknowledge the many roles a woman plays throughout her life.

On this “WOMEN’s DAY” I would like write a few lines about women. This article is dedicated to all the women in this whole Planet.

Women are the power house of energy. This all started from the time of Adam and Eve with that tempting apple to relish. If only Eve hadn’t be there then the civilisation must not have unfolded . Isn’t it??. So the story of power of womanhood starts from then .

A Woman doesn’t become strong by birth. It doesn’t come automatically as we are born as girls. It is something to be earned . A woman becomes strong after passing through a lots of phases, bridges to cross with numerous hurdles.

This resilience does not come from textbooks. It comes from experiences, which moulds her to become a strong woman.

Being strong does not mean she is made of steel . It means she has developed the courage and endurance to face the ordeals that which life places before her at various phases of her life.

To be a woman is something to proud of . Why ?? As she has to don a lots of hats starting from being a Girl, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother-in- law ,Sister-in- law, Co-Sister, a Friend and eventually a Grandmother.

Yes, men too play many roles in their life. But there is a depth of difference in the levels of tolerance and patience expected from a woman - which ego d the moment a girl child is born.

As she starts growing, she has first and foremost to face the wrath of being born as a girl child. Sadly this mind set exists even at today’s times. Have you ever noticed ?? When a pregnant woman is blessed, elders wish for a boy child, believing that he will carry forward the name of the family. . This mind is changing slowly though but exists even today.

As she grows she may have to face the criticism, if not fit to the standards of the beauty, as a Peaches and cream, creamy-skinned girl something to envy for. The strongest proof for this is the booming market for all the fairness creams and cosmetic products built on such ideas.

Despite these pressures, she continues to move forward. She crosses hurdles in academics and professional life to progress and walk shoulder to shoulder with the opposite gender.

Yet, even after proving herself she may still have to face the subtle abuse, sexist comments and sarcastic remarks in both her personal and professional spaces. Appreciation of her achievements sometimes comes with a pinch of sarcasm which may not always be easy to digest.

Obstacles are not always visible. Anything that affects mental well-being is as difficult to overcome. Yet, many women overcome such struggles with remarkable courage often carrying a a smile on their face .

One of the profound phase in a woman’s life is the joy of becoming a MOTHER. In motherhood, selfless quality of a woman is completely revealed To give birth is to give life risking one’s own strength and endurance. It demands immense physical, mental resilience.

But a motherhood doesn’t stop the moment a child is born. It continues in her quiet acts , the endless love, care, sacrifice and guidance she offers children throughout her life , till she breathes her last.

I would like to give a shout out to the woman whom I get to meet to see everyday. The lady who takes religiously collects both the wet and dry waste from my door.

Garbage collecting is a tough job, yet she always has a smile. The reason for me telling this is she always smiles and talks in a pleasant tone inspite of lots hardships she is facing in her life

Every morning she arrives with a gentle smile on her face .She greets everyone in a pleasant tone, never showing the weight of the hardships she may be carrying in her life. It reminds me that strength does not come from achievements or loud recognition.

On this women’s day I would like to a big shout out for all the women who have carved a niche for themselves in their respective fields

More power to all the women who are homemakers, Domestic helper, pilots, teachers, Astronauts, actors, drivers, doctors, nurses, sportswomen, writers, bus conductors, Vegetable Vendor etc . 💪💪💪😊😊😊
