I really enjoyed reading this 😇It felt so real from Nitin missing his mom’s cooking to that simple joy of having coffee and doing puzzles with his dad. Such a sweet reminder that it’s the little moments at home that make us the happiest.

🥘🍚 Mom’s Magic by V S Uma

This isn’t about recipes—it’s about the emotions food carries. Uma shares a heartfelt story of Nitin returning home, craving not only his mom’s cooking but the love, comfort, and belonging it represents. From roti in India to sushi in Japan, the truth is universal: Mom’s food is magic.

Now if only Uma could introduce me to a Cantonese grandma with a noodle shop—I’d be the happiest boy alive! 😂🍜

I could relate to how special mom’s cooking feels, and how it connects us no matter where we are. The way you described the emotions, the comfort, and the happiness around food at home felt so warm.
