MY WACKY CAKE 🎂
Christmas and the upcoming new year made me pen a small post. The cake I have baked is eggless, simple and Homemade. Baked it, loved it and shared it in a small blog .
I MADE MY CAKE AND ATE IT TOO! 🎂😋
Cakes have always been my all-time favourite. I absolutely love the way icing looks on a cake so glossy, so inviting, and utterly appetising. The glazed icing in soft pastel shades of pink, cream white, and light green makes a cake irresistible and tempting to gorge on 😋😋😋😋.
Cupcakes have a special place in my heart too. They look adorable nestled in those delicate paper cups. Those thin, pretty liners add so much charm and beauty to a cupcake, making it look even more tempting.
I love cakes and pastries. The funny part is. we are pure vegetarians, not even eggetarians! That never stops me from enjoying a cake from a bakery, even if it contains eggs. However, I don’t bake cakes with eggs at home.
But then came the big question—I want to bake a cake and eat it too! 🤪
So how do I do that?
After a lot of research (courtesy: Google 😊), I learnt how to bake this eggless chocolate cake. I use milk and butter, so it’s not 100% vegan, but close enough—a kind of vegan cake. I usually bake this cake for New Year celebrations 💃, and also during small family get-togethers or special occasions. I had earlier shared this recipe as part of the Gastromancy June Creative Challenge.
Today, on this festive occasion of Christmas and New Year, I am posting this blog once again.
This is not a fancy or elaborate cake—it’s a simple, comforting eggless chocolate cake.
Uma’s Wacky eggless chocolate cake 🎂
Ingredients I use:
Wheat flour
Milk
Butter
Cocoa powder
Cooking soda
Lemon juice
Powdered sugar
Instant coffee powder
Vanilla essence
For the icing, I prepare a simple mix using:
Custard powder
Corn flour
Icing sugar
Unsalted butter
I finish it off with colourful gems on top to give it a cheerful, decorated look 😊.
We all thoroughly enjoy relishing this cake at home. Baking this cake has become a New Year tradition for us—a regular affair during our celebrations 🎉.

Cake is truly a desirable and enjoyable dish to relish 🤪.
So here I am, twisting the popular idiom and proudly saying:
“I MADE MY CAKE 🎂 (eggless 🤪) AND ATE IT TOO 🤪🤪.”
Because
“CAKES ARE ALWAYS ALL-TIME FAVOURITES. THEY MAKE EVERY OCCASION SPECIAL—BE IT BIRTHDAYS, ENGAGEMENTS, OR WEDDING”
