A small write up on how learning never stops at any age. In today’s lifestyle technology plays a vital role.Therefore it is good to be aware about the basics to sync with the current situation.

Life has taught me and is still teaching me lessons both in easy and hard ways. We all learn a lots through relationships, friendships which are complex to understand and we learn to deal with the same. Complexity in relationships teach us to become street smart.

Now about learning about the basics in technology, there are umpteen ways to learn. Learning through books used to be the primary concept for all of us. We learnt a lots through books when there was no screen to scroll. The invasion of screens in the drawing room has changed the meaning of learning to another level. It doesn’t stop with acquiring knowledge from books. It has set a new vista for us to learn and adapt with the basics in Technology.

With the introductions of touch screen smartphones and iPhones things have changed totally. To such an extent that these phones have become our lifeline. How can one survive without the life line ?. When necessity becomes the Mother of invention we tend to learn . It is amazing to see how regular tasks becomes easier if we adapt ourselves to these changes.

The best example I could quote hereby is about my parents. Both my parents are octogenarians. It is amazing to see both my parents learn to use smartphones slowly and steadily. They have learnt the basics like using payment apps, watch YouTube videos , share pictures in WhatsApp to name a few.

The basics in these phones are like typing in a typewriter, which used to be the gadget for typing purposes long time back. My father was good at typing using a typewriting machine in those days. He had this habit of typing alphabets very fast without any error. I have observed him typing diligently. So things became easier for him when he had to learn this typing in smartphone. He could learn it fast. It was not smooth ride for my parents to learn this new basics of a smartphone but they did learn. And they are happily adapting to the new technology era.

About me. I was as Pre-KG student to start with, only to get promoted to become a high school student now. There was a time when to send a SMS was a big thing for me.. I used to be amazed to see people just pressing the alphabets with ease to send a message.🤪🤪🤪🤪.

From learning to send a SMS I promoted myself to lock, unlock, to use all the features of a smartphone. Now I am a pro being able to handle a IPHONE and IPAD with ease. So, what did I learn recently????????I learnt to write blogs on the screen on my own. I wasn’t aware of using all the features available in the screen.I wasn’t aware of the use of capital letters for title, to tabulate, to start a new para. Basically I learnt how to write with help of my IPad keypad.

I learnt how to add an image to the blog. That too after the introduction of ChatGPT it has become fun and easy to make anime pictures for the blogs I write.I learnt to centre the image in the blog properly. By experimenting with each and every features seen on the screen we tend to learn a lot indeed. It is an advantage to learn the features as you can add image , documents to a file. These images can be downsized according to your needs (small, medium, large - JPEG,PNG or HEIF ).These images are not only useful but do add a soul to your blog. The best thing I have learnt is to COPY n PASTE🤣. I have become a pro in this.

It is necessary to learn the basics of handling these gadgets as reading too has become mandatory using kindle or e- books. Any doubts we have regarding anything then browsing the net gives us the answer.

I wasn’t aware of adding tags to my blogs initially. Now I have learnt to add few words highlighting the essence of my blogs. Recently when my IPAD breathed its last unexpectedly, I felt like I was handicapped. The very absence of a screen to scroll and type left a humongous void in me. That’s when I realised the impact of learning to use these gadgets in our daily life. The learning to use these gadgets helps us immensely to align with today’s life style. But undoubtedly we experience a feeling of yearning when they are not available due to various reasons. Still learning these tech related things all by myself. Mistakes do occur. But that’s agreeable. That’s how the learning process is. Isn’t it?

Once upon a time, sending an SMS felt like rocket science 🤪…as the mobile concept was new. Now, I am, typing blogs on my iPad, browsing with ease, and even adding images like a pro. Learning technology has been a bumpy ride, but also a beautiful one proof that curiosity (and a little patience) can turn struggles into smiles.”

In today’s world of AI where technology has advanced to great heights, my learnings may look very silly and funny to many who may get to read this blog. Thanks to the technology, for I could become a tech savvy person to some extent.

Technology is an ocean where we are like droplets of a high rising wave. These droplets together make high tidal waves.

The real learning starts for all of us since we are born in our lives.. We keep learning since we are a toddler till we exit this world. Learning never ends.
