Introduction:
I am a homemaker who loves to cook, nurture green plants , keep the house spic and span with an ethnic decor to add to the ambience of the abode .I have collections of Ganesha Idols which add to the beauty and the positivity of my humble abode . I love drawing- pencil sketches to be more precise and enjoy doing the same in free time. I love clicking pictures from Sunrise till Sunset.
How would you define your blog/brand?
My blogs are very simple and easy to relate with. It doesn’t have any fancy or decorative words to read with. I firmly believe my blogs are written in simple words but strong enough to convey the message to the audience who get to read.
What/who makes you feel empowered and inspired?
I get inspirations by observing things that happen around me. It can be nature, Sunshine, Sunset, green indoor plants, birds and people whom I get to observe in my daily routine. Not necessary that I need an icon to get an inspiration. Any common man on the street or any normal thing which I observe can inspire me to pen few lines as a blog.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Well, to my younger self I would like to say that, you have to work hard to be successful, be it in your life, career , relationships or friendships. Be patient and things will fall in your way. Life is vast, so live in the moments and not waste chasing things. Live life to the fullest so that you don’t regret in future .
How do you see your blog evolving, what are your dreams?
I always had the penchant to write since my school days. I used to write in diaries regularly. I didn’t get the opportunity to prove my mettle as a writer. The passion in me to write had disappeared in between for some time due to family life. And once again I started writing blogs since the COVID -ERA and going great guns since then. After joining substack I have evolved more as a writer as I get to read lots of articles by many talented writers over up here in this platform. I wish to write good blogs based on observations made by me on a daily basis. The very fact that I have been nominated for Sunshine Blogger Award is a proof that my blogs have evolved in the right direction.
Do you have any advice on how to stop caring what others think?
What others think??? Should I care or not ??? This is a real problem which is pondering on each and everyone’s head for sure. I personally feel it does have an impact on your mind when you give importance to what others think. But that’s how the mind works , tries to get a validation from others. The more you resist your mind the more it will think about caring about what others think. These thoughts are all like small ripples in a pond which happens when a pebble is thrown. As simple as that
What’s the most meaningful comment or message you’ve received from a reader, and why did it stand out to you?
It has been a memorable journey for me in substack till date. Since I joined there are people who have been regularly commenting a line or two about my blog. Now that I am kinda used to this platform , I do receive comments from many new people too. And all comments are very motivating and are of kind words.
Do you have any advice or tips for younger people that want to become a writer/blogger?
Consistency, Consistency and Consistency are the three words to be remembered if one wants to become a blogger/writer. In Substack promoting your blogs plays an important role for your posts to get noticed and to be read by the audience.
What has been the biggest lesson you have learned recently?
I get to read beautiful works by talented writers here in Substack. Some write good poems and some write good stories. There is no limit to the topics covered by the writers. The topics are countless. The flow of words in all newsletters are smooth with such a good vocab that I get to improve my language skills too. Nominating each other for small ideas is an interesting thing happening in Substack. I have learnt to follow the same. To promote your posts in the group chat is another new learning for me. Simultaneously making friends through these chat groups is another new thing I have learnt.
Extra question: write a poem or short post that summarises what ‘sunshine’ means to you?
Sunshine is the reason why I am here today writing this post for this award. I am an early riser, so I get to see the Sunrise everyday. For me “ RISE AND SHINE” is not just a phrase, it really means a lots to me. My good morning notes are based on the clicks of the Rising Supernova in its grand valour every morning. Sunshine gives us the positive energy, good vibes, good health and strength to carry on with our every day routine. Be a Sunshine Person with a Sunshine smile to go with on your face .
