SUPERSTITIONS🧿🪬👹vs/DESTINY🤞🏾🤔
There is a fine line between Destiny and superstitions. Both are connected with the same thread of sentiments which is one of the dominating factor ruling in our minds constantly.
DISCLAIMER: I understand that this topic is very touchy. Hence I had my own doubts on whether to go ahead and write a blog about the same.
Therefore I want to clarify that this blog is not to hurt sentiments of anyone with any strong beliefs,Animal Lovers, Any specific community, Astrologers,Soothsayers,Tarot card readers or anyone who come under this bracket. These are very commonly followed by more in India( as I am not sure about other countries).
What is Destiny? What is to be superstitious? This blog is about the tug of war between these two. Who is to come out as a winner? 🥇 .
SUPERSTITIONS 🧿🪬
First let me analyse in points about the superstitions. Of all the superstitions few ones are bracketed under the category of “ OLD SCHOOL OF THINKING”. I have mentioned below a few superstitions which are common beliefs followed by most of the people. And I am going to counteract these point s by applying rational thinking to these beliefs.
SUPERSTITIONS 🧿🪬👹
1.While stepping out of the house if a black cat is crossing the road from left to right then pause for fe minutes before proceeding further.
In the present fast paced life, can we expect anyone to notice a cat crossing the road from left to right or vice-versa?. Imagine If that person crossing the road was from the blue cross association or an animal lover. They will try to rescue the animal to a safe place instead of following a superstition. A logical thinking doesn’t add up to the superstition.
2. Wishing something good when seeing a falling star.
This is again a belief. You can either enjoy seeing the visual of a falling star or make a wish. It’s all in your mind. Even without visualisation of a falling star you can wish something good.
3.To see an Almanac for an Auspicious time to start something new, to undergo a journey etc.
Once upon a time life was calm, easy and peaceful and less chaotic. Even transport was limited unlike today. So it was possible to see an auspicious time to book a train ticket for journey( flights were completely out of budget then. It was for super rich ). Given the time constraints who has the time to see the auspicious time for booking a ticket online. The ticket booking can be for a train, bus, jet ,cruise or a plane it doesn’t matter.
4.Not desirable to go out in a group of 3 people when going for finalising a business deals.
This is also not feasible as now virtual meetings are the top most priority for all types of meetings and discussions as well. To get people physically present is itself a task nowadays. In such a scenario one cannot sit and count the heads if it is 3 or 4. Apply logic and this gets a ⬇️👎🏿.
4.The Lakshmi or the Goddess of money goes out of the house, if money is lent or paid to anyone in the late evenings.
This was considered in the past times, as paper currency and coins were in regular use I. Day to day life. In the current “UPI” age can we follow the same ? It’s “QR -CODE “ scanning and in a matter of seconds the deal is done. Is it possible to follow a specific date and time to transfer the money?. Will we be left penniless if transferred money in the evening?. By applying a rational thinking we can give a 👎🏿to this too.
5. Not to buy a house which has a North or South facing entrance.
This point is not easy to discard. As from richest of the richest to a common man believe in what direction their entrance of the house is facing. Agreed . We cannot counteract this so easily. In the present scenario to get a house for rent or buy is a painful task with lots of formalities to be met and satisfied. We try to rent or buy a house that satisfies all our list of needs. If we find a house which fulfils our bucket list of factors then we have to be practical and not let these minor superstitions to rule our head.
6. There are few groceries( Eg.Oil, Black sesame seeds, Quick lime powder) which cannot be bought or lend in the evenings.
There was a time when everyone used to buy groceries from shops which was popularly called as “KIRANA DUKKAN”. There was this belief that buying these specifics groceries in the evening is not good for the family. Now let’s take the present day scenario. Ordering groceries or any daily needs in online has become the norm in each and every household. One cannot sit and analyse the time of ordering groceries. This is not feasible. Things have changed where we have to adapt to the new norm.
7.Hanging lemon chillies, wearing pendant 🧿 🧿 is very very popular among all types of people.
This is the most popular of all the superstition. This is not only for a house but also for new vehicles too. The concept behind this hanging is to prevent from evils eye 👁️. In this rapidly changing world how much can we adapt and follow everything minutely. But this point is slightly difficult to counteract. The simple reason being even in this digital age most of them believe in this sentiment firmly that it cannot be ignored easily.
Bottomline is that we are all living in a society where it is not feasible to follow the age old superstitions in our daily routine. The society in which we are living believes in rational and Logical thinking and being Pragmatic in approach. So superstitions can be considered as a myth.
DESTINY 🌟⭐️🌟✨🫣
DESTINY 🤞🏾
There is an unknown power which is a deciding factor of all the important turning points of our life. This unknown power is called the DESTINY. We all believe in our Destiny. We are all living in a generation where we are progressing way ahead with regard to Technology. We cannot deny the fact that we are immensely enjoying the fruits of the same in our daily life. All said and done the whole world is embracing the new changes with open arms.
My question is Can we change our Destiny………🤞🏾😌🤔
No latest technology can change the time of
1.BIRTH
2.DEATH
3. BUYING A PROPERTY
4.TIME WHEN ONE WILL GET MARRIED,
5.CAN NEVER PREDICT OR PREVENT NATURAL DISASTERS, CALAMITIES n TRAGEDIES.
We can never predict or dictate these turning points of our life. The only way to deal with this is to accept these facts without resisting. Believe it or not !!! Recently I received the news of an untimely demise of our relative. She was in her mid fifties only. Was working in her job actively. The time for her to exit came and she had to exit.☹️ This is not anything to create a fear but this is to stress how and what the reality is. Certain things are inexplicable in the journey of our life. It has to be understood as “whatever has to happen happens when, how and why cannot be explained.
This doesn’t prevent us from contributing honest efforts to achieve the endeavours set by us. We have to contribute our honest hard work to realise our goals. We have to keep doing our role sincerely and leave the rest with a ray of hope.
In this tug of war between these two,DESTINY is the winner all the way for the reasons obvious to all of us.
I want to conclude my thoughts with a perfect phrase suitable for this blog.
“MAN PROPOSES , GOD DISPOSES”👌😀
I believe that this blog will resonate with all of you. I also hope that you will agree with my views on this two topics . It would be very interesting to receive your views on this topic.
